🪑 Airbnb Costs (Furnishings)

Recommended Kit

Furnishings. It would depend on the place but for a typical 3 bed 2 bath, expect around 8-10k. 15-20k if you want to make something fit for a king (or a really high up executive)

  • Define your starting budget
    • $5-7K = 1 bed or studio
    • $6-8K = 2 bedroom
    • $8-12K = 3 bedroom
    • $9-13K+ = 4 bedroom
      • Note: this is based on simple and affordable furniture and amenities. If are looking to provide luxury stays, add another 25%-50%+ to the costs
  • ☐ Budgeting
    • ☐ Push rates by having better furnishing and theme
    • ☐ Hire professional photographer.
      • ☐ It's worth the few hundred bucks one time payment for the future revenues. If it gets you 1 booking already paid for itself.
        • ☐ (Seriously don’t penny pinch on this)
        • ☐ Airbnb will rank you higher if you use their photographer (it helps with algorithmn)
    • ☐ Purchase Items
      • ☐ Set up a cleaning closet to store your toiletries, replenishment, cleaning supplies, etc.
        • ☐ Pro Tip: have 1 closet where keep all the supplies and put a code lock on it so guests don’t steal from master closet. (Guests have stolen items)
        • ☐ (Cleaner’s closet)
